Arts Virtual Workshop Series

Thank you for the support of the Office of Arts & Culture, and to continue serving all of you during these social distancing guidelines, IMBA was given the chance to create a FREE 10-week Arts Virtual Workshop series.

 

What does this mean? Well, everyone, it means that either by phone or computer you can join in on the fun and participate right from home. Each class session the instructor will guide us through some fun interactive activities.

There is a little something for everyone in the workshop series. 

Each class is geared for a certain age group but anyone is welcome to join in, the more the merrier!

Ways you can participate

  1. For the full interactive experience, you can join in on a Zoom session. Each class has a link that you just click on the day of the class and it will take you right there.

      What is Zoom? Zoom is an internet conferencing program that connects people via live feed through your phone or computer. The best part is that you don’t need to sign up for a Zoom account to participate. This gives you a way to interact with the teacher and the other participants. That’s right! So, invite all your friends.

What you need to do

  1. For the visual arts class, there is a limited number of spaces so we ask that you sign up by going to www.imbasac.com click on the Fun from Home 3>Sign Up, then fill out the information.

  2. To access the class Zoom links the day of their class, go to the website www.imbasac.com, click on Fun From Home 3> Classes and Links, then click on the link for that day's class, which will take you to the live Zoom session.

  3. To just view the classes you can go to www.facebook.com/imbasac the day and time of the class.

Arts is for Everyone.

 

Ages: All ages

Instructor: Anissa and Marianne

Day: Monday

Time: 5:00 pm

Join in on the fun of the art project in a bag series.

All the needed supplies will come in a bag. We can deliver them to your home or you may pick them up at the IMBA Center located at 4300 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95820.

Who doesn't like playing with paints, clays, crayons, and other stuff like that! Well here is your chance.  Join Miss Anissa as she guides you step by step to make handcraft, painting, and ceramic projects. The great part about this class is that whatever you make is what it's supposed to be. So come join the fun!

 

 

Urban Street Jazz Dance

Ages 7-10 years old  

Instructor: Ms. Holly

Day: Tuesday

Time: 5:00-6:00 pm

Let's get it started!

A Dance party geared to learn fundamental Urban Street Jazz dance moves and grooves from the early 90s to today’s 2021 hits. Join Ms. Holly for an engaging class that will surely get your energy going.

West African Dance!

All ages (family time)

Instructor: Olivia

Day: Friday

Time: 6:00-7:00 pm

West African Dance

A smooth way to get all of your family together at the same time and share a little moving and grooving.  A great way to get your body moving, as Miss Olivia takes you through the steps, sways, and dips that make up the dances of West Africa.  Whether a first-timer or a seasoned dancer this class is the perfect fit. These traditional folk dances and drum rhythms are easily adapted to all ages.

Beginner's Tap Dance

Ages 7-10 years old

Instructor: Arieanna and Jessie

Day: Saturday

Time: 11:00 am - 12 noon

Beginners Tap Class - Tap is a dance style that focuses on footwork. In this class participants will how to combine heel-to-toe combinations to form tap steps, to the rhythmic sound of music.
